Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC)is the lead Centre for development of satellite launch vehicles and associated technologies. The Centre pursues active research and development in a host of distinct technology domains like aeronautics, avionics, composites, etc with a view to achieve self-reliance in the high tech realm of launch vehicle technology.

Apart from VSSC, ISRO Satellite Centre (lSAC) at Bangalore, Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota near Chennai, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) at Valiamala, Mahendagiri and Bangalore and Space Application Centre (SAC) at Ahmedabad are the other major ISRO Centres.

VSSC recruits Trained Graduate Teachers

  1. Trained Graduate Teachers - Social Studies
    • Post No. 1248

    • Essential Qualification :
      1. Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education on NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in any two of the following. ie, in History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
      2. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) , conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
      3. Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English medium
    • Desirable : Knowledge of Computer Applications
  2. Trained Graduate Teachers - Hindi

    • Pay Band : ( Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- )
    • Essential Qualification :
      1. Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education on NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks with Hindi as a subject in all the three years.
      2. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) , conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.

  3. VSSC recruits Primary Teachers

    • No. of vacancies : 5 (UR-03, OBC-01, SC-01)
    • Pay Band : ( Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- )
    • Essential Qualification :
      1. Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent.
      2. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
      3. Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English medium
    • Desirable : Knowledge of Computer Applications

Click on online registration for VSSC Jobs, Online registration is available 10.00 hours on 11.08.2014 to 17.00 hours on 03.09.2014 for registering applications.

Upon on-line registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. After submission, it is mandatory for the applicant to send only the following documents:
  • A confirmatory copy of the online application.
  • No Objection Certificate, from the employer concerned in respect of those applicants who are employed under Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies.
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
