Kochi Metro is an under construction metro system for the city of Kochi in Kerala. The 25.65 KM metro line will run from Aluva to Petta and it includes 22 stations. Kochi metro is also known as KOMET or K-3C. KOMET will have equal partnership for State Govt. of Kerala and central Govt. of India .The foundation stone for Kochi Metro rail project was laid by the Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh on 13-09-2012 and expected to be completed in the year 2016. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be in charge of all tenders, contracts and disbursement of money associated with the project
