The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is an autonomous body owned and managed by Government of Kerala to encourage and promote Science and Technology related activities in the Kerala State.R&D Centers under Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE)
There are six Research and Development (R&D) Institutes under the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.1- Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) : CESS is a R&D centre under the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) to promote modern scientific and technological research and development studies in earth sciences.
2- Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) : CWRDM is a KSCSTE Research and Development centre in the field of water management.
3- Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) : KFRI is a R&D centre under the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) to undertake research in areas like forestry, biodiversity etc. in Kerala.
4- National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (NATPAC) : NATPAC is a R&D institute under KSCSTE for undertaking research and consultancy works in the fields of traffic engineering and transportation planning, highway engineering, public transport system, inland water transport, tourism planning, rural roads, environmental impact assessment and transport energy.
5- Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (TBGRI) : TBGRI is a KSCSTE R&D centre for Conservation and sustainable utilization of the plant biodiversity of India, particularly of Kerala
6- Kerala School of Mathematics (KSoM) : KSoM is a joint venture of KSCSTE and National Board of Heigher Mathematics, under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India to promote Mathematical research in the country and particularly in Kerala.

Qualifications : 1st class M.Sc. in Environmental Science / Earth Science / Life Science from a recognised university
Remuneration : Rs.10,000/- for first two years. Rs.15,000/- for Ph.D holders for the above Subject (Consolidated)
Age limit : Below 35 years as on 01.01.2012 (Relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Tenure of appointment : upto 31.03.2013
